System requirements

Node.js

Node.js 16.x or higher is required since alchemy v1.3.x

Operating system

The framework is developed for Linux servers, though running it on MacOS should work too.

Windows is not officially supported, your mileage may vary.

Database

Alchemy has a generic Datasource class, the following engines are currently implemented:

• NoSQL: Generic datasource
• MongoDB: Using the NoSQL class as a base
• IndexedDB: For use on the browser
• NeDB: Using alchemy-ds-nedb plugin
• LinvoDB3: Using alchemy-ds-linvodb3 plugin

A working datasource is required to start alchemy projects.
